Do Kindness

MISSION

The Do Kindness™ Foundation inspires people to practice kindness and to “play it forward” to others, as in the movie. We provide a website blog where you can share your personal moments of kindness with others, free educational and community ideas, guidance, and other resources to kindness participants through our website at www.dokindness.org.

ABOUT THE FOUNDATION

Through the dissemination of ideas and the development of materials and programs, we plan to help you who share our ideas. As people tap into their own generous human spirit and share kindness with one another, they discover for themselves the power of kindness. When kindness is expressed, healthy relationships are created, community connections are nourished, and people are inspired to play it forward.

Established in 2008 as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, the Do Kindness Foundation is a resource for people committed to doing kindness. We provide a central place on our website where you can read about do kindness, including activity ideas, project plans, teacher's ideas, and workplace resources on our website at www.dokindness.org – all free of charge.

The Foundation is privately held and funded. We accept donations, grants, and membership dues. We plan to provide scholarships for deserving students who have demonstrated ‘dokindness’.   The Foundation has no religious or organizational affiliations; we encourage doing kindness in all sectors of society.

As people from different cultures and from all walks of life are joining to spread kindness, they are creating a powerful, synergistic action throughout the world. Please join us in bringing kindness and compassion to our local and global communities!

Do Kindness Foundation was inspired by Sam Lien Le’s book, “Spirit Stills the Storm”.

After reading it, Founder, Ray Striler decided to ‘dokindness’ as a way of paying back all the kindness shown  him and and his little brother Sam during their lives.

Born on the same date seven years apart they intend to ‘play it forward’ to inspire others to create kindness.
